Why It Came to MPG
The goal was bigger than installing another engine. We wanted the W124 to keep its classic Mercedes character while gaining serious AMG performance.
What We Found
This was a conversion and engineering project rather than a conventional repair. The central challenge was integration: fitting a later-generation supercharged AMG V8 into an older W124 platform and making the powertrain and its supporting systems work together.
What We Did
MPG installed the AMG M113K supercharged V8 and handled the supporting integration around it. Cooling, electrical, packaging and the powertrain interfaces were considered together from the start.
Engineering and Problem Solving
A custom Mercedes engine swap is not finished when the engine physically fits. Packaging, heat management, cooling, intercooling, wiring, control systems and the relationship between the engine and drivetrain all have to be solved together.

Result
The finished car keeps the classic W124 shape and character while carrying later-generation AMG supercharged V8 hardware under the bonnet.
